Begining:

Ch 5. Join with sl st into a ring

Round 1:

Work 6 sc into the ring

change yarn colour

Round 2:

Work 2 tr into each st around, separated by Ch 1

Round 3:

Work *1 sc into Ch 1 space, Ch 4*. Continue from * around.

change yarn colour

Round 4:

Work each petal (1sc, Ch 4, 2 tr cluster, Ch 4, 1sc)  into each Ch 4 space around. (12 petals)

Round 5:

Work 1 sc at the top of 2 tr cluster, Ch 3, sl st into same st (this will give the petal a nice point), work the sides of the petal by working 1 sl st into next 3 sts, continue with 1 sl st into next 4 sts of the side of next petal*. Continue from * around

Round 6: 

Note: This round is worked behind the petals

Work *1 sc into back loop of the sl st between two petals, Ch 3*. Continue from * around (12 sc, 12- Ch 3 spaces)

Round 7:

Work corner *(2 tr, Ch 3, 2 tr) all into 1 sc st, work 3 dc into each of next Ch 3 spaces*. Continue from * around (36 dc, 16 tr)

Round 8:

Work corner *(2 hdc, Ch 2, 2 hdc) all into Ch 3 space, work 1 hdc into each st across (13 hdc sts across one side)*. Continue from * around.

Round 9:

Work corner *(2 dc, Ch 2, 2 dc), [skip 2 st, work "V" st into next st (1 dc, Ch 3, work next 1 dc into the base of Ch 3, 1 dc)] 5 times across one side*. Continue from * around

Round 10:

Work corner *( 2 hdc, Ch 2, 2 hdc) all into Ch 2 space, 1 hdc into next 2 sts, work 3 hdc into each Ch 3 space across each side, 1 hdc into last 2 sts*. Continue from * around (19 hdc sts across one side)
